Grape Stomp Rules

Stomp Objective: Collect the most juice in 3 minutes.

Rules

1. Each team consists of two people: one stomper and one swabbie. The stomper will stomp the grapes using bare feet only and without holding onto the barrel for three minutes. The swabbie keeps the drain clear and collects the juice in the container provided.
2. Each team will check in at the registration table to receive their stomp time.
3. In an attempt to give everyone a chance to participate, teams that have not stomped will be given priority in scheduling. Teams that have stomped will be allowed additional times only when there is an open barrel at the beginning of a heat.
4. Stomper who continue after the three-minute timer has gone off will be disqualified.
5. Teams must bring their collected juice to the judging table to be measured and recorded.
6. The winners from each heat will compete against each other in a Stomp-off at 5:00 pm to determine the champs for the day.
